** **ADULT BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM HOSTS IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL INFO SESSIONS ON AUGUST 12

Allegany College of Maryland’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) program will host information and orientation sessions for interested students on Wednesday, August 12. The first session will be held in person at 1 p.m. at ABE’s offices on the third floor of the Gateway Center which is located at 112 Baltimore Street in Downtown Cumberland. Attendees are asked to wear a face mask or face covering and practice social distancing. A second session will be offered later that day at 6 p.m.via Zoom. The Adult Education Program at Allegany College of Maryland is a grant-funded program providing educational services to Maryland residents who need a high school diploma, or who may need to work on their basic skills for employment or continuing their education. ABE classes are offered free of charge and support services are available.
