Allegany County Transition Council

Promoting the successful transition of students with disabilities by providing leadership and innovation in employment, education, training, independent living, and community supports.

The ACTC is a group of voluntary members representing Allegany County Public Schools, post-secondary education programs, the workforce and business community, and adult service agencies. The council’s goal is to inform school districts, students, and families of available post-school options, and improve the effectiveness of, and the means to obtain, community transition services. The council regularly meets to share strategies and, as needed, suggest programs that improve the transition planning process for students with disabilities.
